Loures-Barousse is on the Garonne, which can flow quite violently. You can go salmon fishing but also rafting (departure in Labroquère); Cycling routes have been set out.

Along the Garonne you enter Spain within 30 minutes, where you can shop cheaply and eat delicious tapas, even on Sundays (Les, Bossost) and in Spain even bears live in the wild. Nearby Roman excavations (St. Juste) and you can take a nice walk to a beautiful medieval cathedral (Saint Bertrand de Comminges) with an impressive church organ. Lourdes, the famous place of pilgrimage, is 60 km away. In the Lac de Montrejeau you can swim, row and take a trip on the lake with the pedalo. Also visit the Pays de l'Ours in Arbas, 25 km away (at Aspet). Every year the Tour de France also passes through the village of Loures-Barousse, sometimes over the Avenue de Montrejeau itself, so you can follow the caravan from the garden! The garden is then also full of all kinds of gadgets and advertising items that the caravan often throws at the residents with enthusiasm. The well-known hiking trail Chemin de Piemont (to Santiago de Compostela) also runs along the village. A favorite children's park "Parc de Loisirs De La Demi Lune" can also be found in Lannemezan.
